My passion for photography began in high school when I took a basic photography class. With a Pentax camera and B/W film, I soon realized I could capture the world in a way that was uniquely my own. Through the view finder of my camera, I learned I was not only capturing images but also memories and emotions.

As it tends to do, life caught up and I stopped taking pictures. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I discovered another passion, backpacking. Escaping into the mountains provided me a way to reset and prioritize what was important in life. In an attempt to capture the beauty of the wilderness, I again found myself looking at the world through the lens of my camera.

Photography has allowed me to capture moments in time that are important to me; the locations, emotions and more importantly, the people. What has been especially rewarding is hearing how my images make others feel and the memories they elicit in them.

The most fulfilling aspect of being a photographer is collaborating with others and capturing their story. It amazes me how fast life can change. Children grow in the blink of an eye. Weddings, which can take months or even years to plan are over in a few hours. And families are constantly evolving. Capturing these memories and emotions for others to enjoy for a lifetime is an incredible experience.

I look forward to providing you with a window to the past that will allow you to relive the most important moments of your life!
